From humble beginnings to pavement professionals
We have been part of the Elora and Guelph community since 1985. But back then, we were just a small line painting business with a big dream.
The story really begins with Mike Hirst – our founder – right after college. He had spent time traveling, working on a farm, and volunteering at an orphanage in the U.S. He didn’t plan on getting into pavement work. But one day, after a talk with a neighbor (and a nudge from his dad), he saw an opportunity. A local line painting business was changing hands, and Mike decided to step in and buy out the former partner.
That decision changed everything.
In our first year, we expanded into full parking lot maintenance, and business doubled. It was clear that people appreciated the reliable, personal service we offered, so we kept going.
Over the years, we’ve grown into a full-service pavement maintenance company. We’ve completed more than 100 projects across Wellington County and the Waterloo Region. From hospitals to malls, schoolyards to municipal lots, we’ve helped keep the community’s asphalt in shape, one lot at a time.
Even with all that growth, one thing hasn’t changed: we still take the same hands-on, owner-led approach we started with. And we’re just getting started.
